how about
yourHtmlComponentInstance.htmlLoader.window.document.documentElement.outerHtml ?

For want of any better knowledge on my part, I generally just set a breakpoint
somewhere and inspect the html component in the debugger (with a large element
of not at all educated guesswork!)

I'd imagine the webkit documentation would give a reasonable guide, but I don't
usually have much need to work smarter in this particular area.

Subject: [flexcoders] HTML (Air) - view source

Can we access the source code of a page being viewed in an HTML
component? I tried using the htmlText property (not set) and I can't
see a property in the HTMLLoader that would provide this.
