I understand that the datagrid is recycling cells, makes sense. I've checked out Alex's blog, but can't find a solution to this situation. Oddly enough, you can see that the datagrid refreshes correctly when I interact with display objects other than the grid itself. What events are being fired by the other display objects that are causing the grid to 'refresh'. Thanks for your time: Alan
