I understand that. But  the recommended method is not working. I am trying
to do a find and replace of all apostrophes:

var myPattern:RegExp = new RegExp("''", "g");
var titleVar:String = noteTitleFLD.text;
 titleVar = titleVar.replace(myPattern, "'");

but it is not working

Jeez, it's hard to read all those ' thingies...
