I'm extremely new to Flex, so forgive me if this is extremely easy, but I'm not even sure I know what I'm searching for. What I'd like to do is recreate the category functionality seen here: http://flex.org/showcase/
Should I be looking into creating a popup? Is this some sort of applicationcontrol bar or tile control? Basically, I just want to know where to start to figure out how to have a button launch a panel with a series of check boxes, and then pass the selections back to the main component. Ideally, the popup/panel would highlight the original button and be attached to the button in the same way the example does it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul
