[flexcoders] How to split Datagrid Column Dynamically at run time

I saw the aruhi  blog for splitdatagridcoloumn.

I am also trying to split columns into more than 2(left and right).
But I was wondering how you would do it dynamically with a value
determined by user or at run time? 

I am still very new to flex and any
sort of coding example would be much appreciated.

i want like
 

Sr             Name                                 Marks
     First Name     Last Name      English   Science  Maths  Commerce

1.   Trilokchand    Modi            85         75       95      60
2.   Santhosh       Nair            94         70       95      80
