I'm working on an app that will need to dynamically load large amounts
of vector graphics. These graphics will be created by various artists
and uploaded to a backend service where they will be stored, then
later loaded for use in the application. My initial thought is to
simply use swf files for this since they will allow the assets to keep
their native vector format, are extremely small in file size, and will
allow for the addition of animation if wanted.

My question is this: Does anyone know of any reasons why swf's would
not be a good fit for this? My main concern is performance. If I am
loading up 100's of small swf files, does anyone know any blatenly
obvious reasons that this would cause a decrease in performance, or
any known issues with memory management with this type of scenario?

Any thoughts or input appreciated.

Thanks!
