The Canvas component doesn't have a backgroundColor unless you give it one - in other words its background will be transparent and showing everything underneath it by default. By stipulating a backgroundColor you should be OK.

I want to gray out every window but the current one so no mouse clicks or keyboard input can happen except this window. I have tried using the PopUpManager with a Canvas, but Canvas in the PopUpManager turns the background to transparent. The whole screen looks grayed out. I am using the Canvas to draw on over the top of another component. ------------------------------------ -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Alternative FAQ location: https://share.acrobat.com/adc/document.do?docid=942dbdc8-e469-446f-b4cf- 1e62079f6847 Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.comYahoo!
