Why does the quantity of data you need to send dictate that you need the session variable? What would you do with this value if you had it in Flex? What exactly are you trying to do?

I JSP I could access the HTTP Sessioin and store an object, access the object from another jsp or servlet. I want to do the same in Flex. Can this be done? Thanks for the help
