I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but try to add new instances to the list only when needed, otherwise just update already existing elements.

I have 32 columns, with 5 columns having renderes. I have renderers for displaying backgroundcolor I used Profiler and sees that everytime it adds more instances to the list and also memory consumption is rising.
