I'd previously written to the mailing list about Flash Player truncating the POST request payload to the location of the first zero byte. I then filed a Flash Player bug:
https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-708 It looks I'm running into even worse errors with Flash Player 10 on Linux: * in Opera, POST payloads are always stripped * in Firefox 3, the payload is truncated to ~3500 bytes. I've verified this via Wireshark. The Content-Length is declared correctly, but only around ~3500 bytes of the payload is actually included. This seems to be a pretty serious issue, and is consistently reproducible. I'm pleasantly surprised by Flash Player 10 on Linux in general, but this is a big concern.
