Yes, you can build and push AsyncMessages that contain typed objects as the message bodies.
If you're just pushing messages from client to client through the server (i.e. no JMS or some other custom adapter into a backend messaging system), you can just tag your ActionScript class with [RemoteClass] (no alias="..." attribute), and it'll show up at the receiving client as an instance of the desired type. In this case you don't even need a corresponding server-side Java class.
