Deferred instantiation should be no problem for accessing the
immediate children of a ViewStack object.
<ViewStack>
<Panel label="Panel One">
<TextInput />
</Panel>
<Panel label="Panel Two">
<TextInput />
</Panel>
</ViewStack>
Here, you should be able to access Panel Two even if it has never come
into view. It is Panel Two's children (the TextInput object) that you
cannot access until later. (You have this problem whether or not you
assign an ID to Panel Two.)
