Thanks for all the pointers. So essentially speaking my best option is
PHP  + FlashLite working on some flavour of embedded linux. That
leads to the final question. Can I use Flex/ActionScript 3 to
program for Flash Lite? I being a programmer would like a
developer oriented tool but if thats not an option whats the best one for
me.
