Yes, this is a problem, as I noted previously. Re-parenting is not the problem. Perhaps you should start a new thread with the right subject.

I was not able to actually take a node and make it a child of another node. The only exception to this is when the target node already has children and that the children are already visible in the tree. I have used Tree DnD to rearrange xml regularly, though not recently. I wil look for a simple example. Have you tried this? As I recall, it can be difficult to drop the first child node into an empty parent. So, here it is: I have a Flex Tree component in which I want to re-parent a node using drag & drop. Basically, I want to be able to take a node, drag it on top of another node and that the dragged node be added as a child. The standard Flex Tree will not allow this (unless I don't know how to set it up) and I didn't find any open source component on the net. Does any one have or has seen such a tree? Thanks!
