As for the RemoteObjects examples being in Java, its pretty straight
forward to change out the RemoteObjects to ColdFusion cfc's.  The
hiccup will be the Value Object (VO) implementation.  But there has
been some posts about using VO's and ColdFusion cfc's on the list. 
Passing Array data as cfc arguments definetly works if VO's are touch
much.

We use Cairngorm with ColdFusion and AMFPHP remote objects just fine.
