I'm not 100% sure about this but I just ran into an issue where I wanted to set up all my DragManager.acceptDragDrop(UIComponent) in an init function but it refused to work. DragManager only accepted that once something was actually being dragged so the same might be true for your DragManager.showFeedback(). Try setting that after you call DragManager.doDrag().
