Ghostwire have developed such components for flash (http://ghostwire.com/go/207), I think it's not bad to offer that possibility, might be a good enhancement to the Accordion ;)) Philippe

And I wouldn't recommend extending the Accordion component to implement this functionality. Instead, write one from scratch. The good news is that we're trying to make it much easier in Flex 2.0 to write your own components from scratch.
