It will have to be parented somewhere else and positioned back where you need it so it doesn't fall under a parent that has alpha<1.

Problem is - whenever we put a backgroundAlpha in the loaded application , or alpha in the SWFLoader that loads it, there's no way to make one of the components opaque. I'm sure it's simple but can't find it. Help appreciated. Guy
