Not directly helpful, but they did make Flex Builder 3 pretty much immediately available to universities (staff and students) once it was released. I had to re-register though, so I have a key for FB2 and FB3.
So if history is anything to go by... <fingers crossed> P.S. I was surprised to find out that commercial use of that license is allowed; that's unlike other Adobe academically-priced products.
