Have you tried deleting the .project and .actionScriptProperties files in the 
project folder? How about the .settings folder?

The compiler settings are saved to the .actionScriptProperties file. It is an 
XML file so you can try opening it in your favorite text editor. Check to see 
if the XML is valid. Make sure that when you save it the OS or the app has not 
added a hidden extension (eg. like .txt) to the file name.
