Hey Christophe, You could if you really wanted to but, you'd have to make sure the size of the generated swf was within your desired limits.
Flex has a larger payload than flash - flex automatically compiles extra libraries whereas Flash doesn't as standard. Ebay's homepage has Swf content created with flex - on a slow connection you'll see the classic flex pre-loader. I'd try and work out Flash - both use AS3 and so it shouldn't take long to adapt. You'd be especially wise to this if you're simply wanted timeline based swfs as it'll be a whole quicker and easier to do in Flash! Basically, just need to be aware of which tool is best for the application. Hope that helps. Dave.
