Hello, Here's just a general question I want to throw out there and get peoples thoughts.
In a business system we have various search screens, you can then double click the search results to view the detail screen. There is a Web Service to do the Search operation, and There is a Web Service to get the record information for the detail screen. Let's say we are searching the [Company] records and some of the search fields are to search on it's related tables, such as [Staff], [Address] where there can be multiple [Staff] and [Address] records per [Company]. What are the general thoughts on how the data should be returned from the Web Service? * Would you receive a *Company* object which has various properties including a *Staff* and *Address* property which is an ArrayCollection of *Staff* and *Address* - or - * Would you receive a flat tabular data, a bit like you do when using SQL and JOINS where the [Company] is duplicated how ever many times is required for it's related many records. ?
