Flex 3 is not abandoned. 3.6 is on the schedule somewhere. It will contain mostly bug fixes. Very few new features will be in the 3.x branch. Spark is the way of the future, but MX will remain around for a while because, while it doesn’t have as many features or a consistent skinning model, it was tuned to do certain things as quickly as possible and some folks still prefer that. Consistency often implies generality, which often implies a performance hit.
Eventually, I expect to see us deprecate the APIs, but not anytime this year or next, and maybe even longer. If it is an abandoned project, just announce it and we will move on. --- In [email protected] <mailto:flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com> , Alex Harui <aha...@...> wrote: > > I think I'd try the Spark DataGrid example from my blog.
