Hey Guys, I have a class with something like this in it.... private var _myVar:String = "bob"; My Class is an MXML file that has a mx:Box as its base. When I create one, and try to reference myInstacne._myVar, I get "bob".... I thought making a variable private meant it was ONLY avalible inside that class, and it would be up to me to write a getter and setter function for _myVar if required... am I missing something? -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com Yahoo!
