Yup, I've done it with Flex and
Java, like Jesse did. I used a free Java spell checker on the server side, I
return back HTML to Flex so that all incorrect words are highlighted in red.
Then in Flex, I let the user cycle thru all misspelled words, so he can ignore
or correct them as he/she wishes.
As for Java spell checkers, I
used this one: http://jazzy.sourceforge.net/ (works
well so far, just had to modify it to use a DB)
