Yep that works, thx! … any idea if I can trigger that “x” icon (shows when hovering over object that doesn’t support drag ‘n drop) to provide additional feedback when hovering over an invalid position?

Could you apply the location checking logic in the dragOver?

Not very elegant but I got around it with using a boolean variable…if the location isn’t valid, just sets a flag that is then checked on doDragComplete
