You may start with setting the *selectableRange* of the second DateField. This property accepts an Object as a parameter. The Object contains two properties, |rangeStart| and |rangeEnd|, of type Date. If you specify only |rangeStart|, all the dates after the specified date are enabled.
So you may just want to bind *rangeStart* as the *selectedDate+1* of the first DateField. This way the user will never enter a date lower than the start date! I think this is much user-friendly than allowing him to enter an undesired date and then correct it. Go through this! Should be very helpful! http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flex/15/asdocs_en/mx/controls/DateField.html Sree sandip_patil01 wrote: > Hi All, > > I want to show alert for date if end date is not greater than the > start date > here is my scenario > > <mx:FormItem label="Start date" width="242" required="true"> > <mx:DateField showToday="true" dateFormatter="formatDate"/> > </mx:FormItem> > > <mx:FormItem label="End Date" width="240"> > <mx:DateField dateFormatter="formatDate"/> > </mx:FormItem> > > if user enter end date lower than start date he should be prompted to > enter bigger date than start date > > Thx, > Sandip > > > > > > -- > Flexcoders Mailing List > FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt > Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > YAHOO!
