I really wish that Macromedia and the Flex Team put in some very serious thought into helping us embed regular HTML pages inside a Flex application.
Personally, I believe the IFrame solution has been used and abused a lot!

That Christoph had posted the Iframe solution is proof that the Flex Team did at some point of time realize the "necessity" of this.

I am sure, if Macomedia comes out with support for HTML ,PDFs etc, we would see an evoultion of hybrid appilcations.

I hope Macromedia does not expect PDF>FlashPaper conversion and the like ...

It looks like he already has the PDF in the db.  He doesnt need to
render it right?

Just write a Servlet that does the JDBC to extract the PDF from the
DB and stream it back.  You can then punch the PDF into an IFrame
etc.
