ANT is a java based build tool.

You create build files using XML and tell ANT to execute them.

It basically allows you to execute command line applications, copy files from place to place, generate .zip, .war etc.

A bit like a shell script only much easier to understand.

If you just want to do local Flex development on your desktop, you should be able to install Flex 1.5 and use it indefinitely.

Flex Builder 1.5 is available with a 60 day trial license after which you'll need to find an alternative.

OxygenXML is an XML editor that allows you to associate a schema with an XML document and gives you code assistance based on the schema.

What's ANT?

Where doyou apply for 1.5 non-commercial license?

I'm familiar with using NetBeans and EJB and using
.WAR file, but not Oxygen XML or ANT.

Thanks JesterXL!
