OK, so the unanimous response is: Use MXML! Got some good points from you guys, thanks. I'll probably be around more often from now on, now that I'm getting acquainted with Flex and its Framework.
Just to make things clear (Dave): As you can see from my posts, I am not preaching… Only making sure I'm not missing anything important before I start messing with Flex for real. I've been developing with Java and AS for quite some time now, and couldn't agree more that the simpler/quicker option is always better, unless you are loosing out on control (V2 Flash Components), which isn't the case with the Flex Framework (and mxml).
