The Flex 2 Alpha does not have a proxy included so there’s no whitelist to edit.  You’ll need to either load your SWF from the same location as your HTTPService or setup a crossdomain.xml file.  The docs should have more details.

Subject: [flexcoders] flex2: security prob accessing HttpService

i'm new to this forum so I apologize if this question is beneath the
people on this list but I'm going through this tutorial->
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/flex/articles/restaurant_app_03.html

learning to use XML over HTTP to populate a datagrid in flex and when
I get to step 9, I find there is no "whitelist" section of my
flex-config.xml file.  I'm assuming that something changed from 1.5 to
2.0 since that section (and a lot of other stuff) is there in the
flex-config.xml that came with my CFMX7 installation.
How do you resolve this security error when working w/ Flex2 Builder-
have they moved the whitelist somewhere else or was it replaced
entirely by a different mechanism?

thanks
Sean
