the result object would have the soap headers stripped away already, unless you specify PendingCall.doDecoding = false (not really necesary), and then you can het the raw soeap response via PendingCall.response. (this is swf player 7-8 ofcourse as i havn't tried it with 8.5 yet)

can you post the wsdl?
i think the best bet for now is to get ur webservice to return a string and then parse the xml yourself.
