Flex isn't the problem, and arguably, neither is the Player; it's the
devices. They are a slow as nuts! Nor do they have a lot of ram.

PocketPC is a special case because it runs the regular Flash Player vs. the
Flash Lite player.

Flash Lite 1.1 is Flash 4 syntax; which there is no way in heck you could
get a usable component set using that syntax.

Deuce, however, aka Flash Lite 2, might change that.  It's ActionScript 2;
basically Flash Player 7, but I still fail to see how Flex could work on it
without some serious changes to the framework.

MXML? Sure. ActionScript 2? Sure. Component set? No way... you'd need
something significantly less resource & memory intensive.

Hi Clint,

Man, I was definitely expecting more interest in this one!!
so... should I simply presume that Flex is not yet ready to go mobile?

Note that I have full control over the version of the installed player
in the PDAs ( it is for use within a company ).

Looks like I might be going back to good old Flash RIAs :(
I will try to get something new into the menu to make things more
interesting... perhaps actionstep.

Best,
Aldo
