thanks abdul... i have one more issue with this... say i have the openLink() function in another mxml file and the text is not in the main application..its in a panel (a custom component)...then how should i call it by using a href? see the link should not open a new browser it shuold instead call a function which would show a popup window(a title window- which a local component) please help me in this issue...
