You can open the shared object as a text file and simply read it. i.e.: not secure!

For example, in WinXP, my user name is 'slangeberg'. I can view shared objects here:

C:\Documents and Settings\slangeberg\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player

Open the files with the .sol extension using any text editor, to see the data.
