I am a little confused on how to insert data that is selected in a
combobox. I have this code below. I assume this is the correct way to
handle this, but I am not sure. Can someone take a look?
Combobox:
<mx:ComboBox x="197" y="64" dataProvider="{dirPrefix}"
id="fld_propDir"></mx:ComboBox>
Onclick Save Function:
<mx:Button label="Save" click="quAdminAddList(fld_mlsNum.text,
fld_propStreet.text, fld_propNum.text, fld_propDir.selectedItem.data);"/>
Data I populate the box with:
[Bindable]
public var dirPrefix: Array = [ {label:"N", data:"N"},
{label:"S"}, {label:"E"}, {label:"W"}, {label:"NE"}, {label:"SE"},
{label:"NW"}, {label:"SW"} ];
[Bindable]
public var selectedItem:Object;
