Hi Malik,

 

I have been able to reproduce your error.

 

The ‘<?xml … ‘ part needs to start at exactly the 1st row and the 1st column of your .mxml file. If you add a space or a new line before it, the error you mention below will appear.

 

I think we were a little bit put on the wrong foot thinking your problem was a runtime error, but it appears to be a compile time error. Try to be more specific next time.

Hi,

I get this error with that code:

"The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not
allowed."

I copied that exact code into flex builder 2 alpha version and I get
that error message.

I wonder do I not have it setup correctly.
