Did you try my suggestion from yesterday about setting a negative height on the invisible child?
I also mentioned that the new 'includeInLayout' property in Flex 2 will solve this problem. - Gordon -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sergey Kovalyov Sent: Wednesday, January 25, 2006 1:48 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [flexcoders] Dynamic form layout and hidden FormItem. Is it possible without doubtful workarounds? Yes, it's due to verticalGap property that equals 8 by default. Sure, I could override verticalGap for Form itself and set it to 0 but this will cause corrupted look of other, visible form items. When I change verticalGap property for FormItem childs, nothing changes, unfortunately. Creating hidden items dynamically is not ok for me, because in this case defaultButton doesn't work. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Battershall, Jeff Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2006 6:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [flexcoders] Dynamic form layout and hidden FormItem. So you may have to play around with that, depending on your implementation. Is it possible without doubtful workarounds? Is there any way to hide some FormItem containers dynamically and show them when needed. When I set widht and height to 0 and visible to false it causes extra vertical space that is not acceptable to me. You can find the example of what I say about below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.macromedia.com/2003/mxml"> <mx:Panel title="Form"> <mx:Form> <mx:Repeater id="formItemRepeater" dataProvider="{new Array(30)}"> <mx:FormItem width="0" height="0" visible="false" label="{'Label '+formItemRepeater.currentIndex}"> <mx:TextInput /> </mx:FormItem> </mx:Repeater> </mx:Form> </mx:Panel> </mx:Application> -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com Yahoo!
