To All: Since RIA's (Flex Apps) are web based, it concerns me about all the news we are seeing about "outages".
Is it the databases crashing? If so why? Are large scale databases: MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, etc. NOT really capable of handling the volume? Are they set up wrong? For example, it is hard to believe that salesforce.com doesn't have the skilled people to keep their databases up. Is it data center issues? Bandwidth? What's your opinion? Are you concerned?
