No matter what, its an excellent book both as primer and light reference. If you are serious about your Flex skills and still have some uncovered areas on your personal Flex map you shouldn't hesitate one more second to buy it.
I remember when I first thought about buying it and I was reconsidering it since it was based on version 1.0 and not 1.5 (which was the current at that time) - eventually I did order it and I have not regretted that for one second... hence, imho its definitely still worth the dough if you are starting out.
