We’ve published in the past a SWF search API for the search vendors.  Some take advantage, some don’t.  I think in Player 8 we introduced some new metadata in the SWF format meant for adding descriptions to better represent the SWF to a search engine.  There isn’t a great method right now though for a Flex app to get indexed like a full HTML site because so much of the contents of Flex is driven by data requests that come after the SWF loads.  We’ve been working on ideas for how to better provide that experience but won’t have anything in the Flex 2 timeframe.

Does anyone know how search engines index a flex site?  Are there any tricks to search optimization?
