I don't know if it's different in Flex 2.0, but in 1.5 the 
webservice result handler would be something like:

result="agents = new ArrayCollection(event.result.list.employee)"

That is assuming the XML from your cfc looks like:

<list>
  <employee> ... </employee>
  <employee> ...
</list>
