I'm doing a simple test but get the above error.
what am i doing wrong?

byteArr.writeUTF("hello");
byteArr.position = 0;
byteArr.compress();
byteArr.position = 0;
byteArr.uncompress();
out.text += byteArr.readUTF(); //out is a textarea
