Jonathan,
I'm sat here with Matt Chotin right now (who has been
ignoring the lists while he's in Scotland), and we're all puzzling over this for
you :-)
We're convinced it's not Cairngorm; you've already proved
that by making sure that the DataGrid is able to bind through the ModelLocator,
and through it's getInstance().
I'd want to narrow your investigation around the
ArrayCollection; can you just confirm that you can have an ArrayCollection, and
that you can bind to both your data grid and your chart from that
ArrayCollection ? It seems like when "not using Cairngorm" you're also
"not using ArrayCollection". If that's working, then next thing to do is
eliminate binding - see if you can assign the ArrayCollection from a button
click rather than from a binding. You can also try just shoving the
ArrayCollection.toArray() directly into the chart ... which would be weird if it
didn't work :-)
Let us know what you find.
Best,
Steven
