Basically you'd want to adjust the resultHandler to run a filter on the result before calling createTiles.
However in general I think a real life app isn't going to load a catalog from an XML file, instead you'll get that data from a remote data service and you may simply have the service return the smaller amount of data. You'd then slowly bring down more data as it was requested by the UI. I hope that my thinking is correct because when I increase the number of products in the catalog.xml file (from 18 to 500), the way it is setup now (displaying all the products), it takes a very long time for the products to show up. Is there a better way to have it so that the user is not waiting while all the products are loading?
