I think it depends what kind of development you want to do.  Flex only,
use the standalone.  If you want to use Java I'd go for the plugin since
you'll then get the standard Eclipse UI which all the Java developers
will be familiar with.

But I just saw a thread internally that sounds like we are looking at
allowing you to change the location of the folder and have it stick.  So
stay tuned for B3 to test that out.
