I presume you meant looking at the "dataField" attribute of the
column so as to compare the column names of the current column with
those in the DataGrid.columns array. But in my case since the columns
are dynamically created they do not have any column names and hence I
cannot use this approach. Also, iterating through the array for each
cell being rendered, does not sound like a good idea.
I was looking for something built-in like
DataGridListData.columnIndex (which is available only for a drop-in
itemRenderer). I need the column number for which this labelFunction
is getting invoked, so that I can index into a second dimension
ArrayCollection (nested within the data provider ArrayCollection),
accordingly, for retrieving the data.
