To fetch records from DB & display in DataGrid,
<mx:RemoteObject id="fetchmyRecords" named="fetchmyRecordsService" >
<mx:method name="getRecs" result="myRecs=fetchmyRecords.getRecs.result"/>
</mx:RemoteObject>
<mx:method name="getRecs" result="myRecs=fetchmyRecords.getRecs.result"/>
</mx:RemoteObject>
& in datagrid display as,
<mx:DataGrid id="myid" dataProvider="{myRecs}">
