Only the first post is moderated to this list; it's a
simple defense against spam that is highly successful in that regard. Once
you have posted once, you are "approved" automatically to post to the list, and
no further posts are moderated.
Some mail clients/ISPs seem to manage to trick Yahoo into
thinking every post that some people make is from a new user- we don't
understand this. So, for a small percentage of you, every one of your
posts is moderated, and when you post often enough that the moderators of the
list notice this, we can quickly and easily change your settings so that you're
not moderated on every post.
If you feel that you're being moderated, and we've missed
you, drop us a note ([EMAIL PROTECTED]
will get the quickest response, as we have round-the-world/clock moderation of
the list through a team of volunteers) and we'll rectify it right
away.
In the meantime, let's not get into any more discussion
about better forums for hosting than yahoogroups, or better
mailreaders/etc. It's a recurring discussion, and with 4000+ folks on the
list, we're never going to please everyone.
Good weekend to all,
Steven
