Personally I use gmail and I have a special account just for lists. I get all the emails into my email box and they are auto sorted and I can just search for what I want from gmail.
I really dont see the point of opening a new forum. It only leads the way for trolls and spammers. Plus I am sure it would be a pain in the ass to moderate.
